COOPERATION WITH THE MUNICIPALITY OF PORTOFERRAIO
SIGNING OF A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU)

On 27 October 2007 Museum With No Frontiers and the Municipality of Portoferraio signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the aim of creating a formal basis for long-term cooperation. For MWNF the city of Portoferraio with its important history and cultural heritage, situated in the middle of the Mediterranean, was an emblematic place to coordinate some of MWNF's international activities and install the MWNF Archive. On the other hand, Portoferraio would benefit from the specific expertise of MWNF in developing innovative marketing strategies for the promotion of museums, monuments and sites. A series of successful projects are the output of this cooperation.
The signing ceremony took place at the Centro Culturale De Laugier in the historic centre of Portoferraio and was attended by a delegation of Museum With No Frontiers and local media representatives.
