Museum of Islamic Art Cairo, an MWNF Partner Institution since 1998, will reopen soon.
Three new exhibition halls, 14 new showcases, 4000 artefacts on display, including 400 never shown before. A museum guide in Arabic and English and a special guide for children in Arabic will be available at the museum shop. A new website will go live on the occasion of the reopening and will announce the Museum's activities, including lectures, guided visits and workshops.

A young team lead by Prof. Ahmed Al-Shoky teaching Islamic Archaeology at Ain-Shams University, has worked two years to make all this possible and to reopen again the doors of the World's finest museum of Islamic art, after it had suffered, on 24 January 2014, the consequences of a suicide car bomb attack on a building situated nearby.

As soon as the date for the re-opening will be confirmed, it will be announced also on this page.

MWNF congratulates the team of MIA Cairo and wishes a lot of success and many visitors from both, Egypt and abroad!
