Stockholm, being the cultural capital of Europe in 1998 was a perfect place to have the Panoramic Presentation of Islamic Art in the Mediterranean Exhibition Trails cycle. With the co-operation of the Medelhavmuseet which holds an important Islamic art collection, the Panoramic Presentation was launched in the second floor of the museum. A specially arranged exhibition hall with the cases designed to hold eight computers to show a CD ROM prepared by RITSEC (Cairo) was the highlight of the presentation. Visitors were able to visit the highlights of the Exhibition Trails on the screen and get some information on the monuments included in the Exhibition Trail.
