Hegira 885-917 / AD 1481-1512
Made during the reign of Beyezid II, the yatagan (short sword) was a gift to his grand vizier, Hersekzade Ahmed Pasha. It is the earliest known, decorated with a benedictory inscription as well as enumerating the attributes of Beyezid and the name of the owner in thuluth calligraphy.
